Mount Everest, also known as Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in Tibet, is located on the border between Nepal and Tibet (China). The peak stands at 8,848.86 meters (29,031.7 feet) above sea level.
The most common route to reach Everest Base Camp is through the Khumbu region of Nepal, starting from Lukla airport. The trek takes approximately 12-14 days round trip.
