Trip Overview

A bespoke trekking in nepal adventure.

The Everest Base Camp Trek from Jiri is the original and classic route to Everest Base Camp, used by early expeditions long before the construction of Lukla Airport. This historic trail offers a more traditional and immersive approach to the Everest region, following the footsteps of legendary mountaineers who first explored the Khumbu Himalaya.

This journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu into the mid-hill region of Nepal and gradually ascends through remote villages, terraced farmlands, dense rhododendron forests, and authentic Sherpa settlements. Unlike the shorter Lukla flight route, the Jiri trail provides a slower and more natural acclimatization process, making it ideal for trekkers who prefer a safer, more gradual ascent and a deeper cultural experience away from the busier trekking corridors.

As the trail progresses, it connects with the main Everest Base Camp route near Phakding, from where the journey continues through iconic Himalayan destinations such as Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, Dingboche, and Lobuche. The trek ultimately reaches the legendary Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and the stunning viewpoint of Kala Patthar (5,545m), offering some of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the Himalayas.

Beyond its natural beauty, this trek is also a rich cultural journey. Trekkers experience the warm hospitality of Sherpa communities, visit ancient Buddhist monasteries, and walk through prayer-flag-lined trails that reflect the deep spiritual heritage of the region.
