Day 1: Fly to Lukla (2,860m / 9,383ft) and Trek to Phakding (2,610m / 8,563ft) – 3– Hours

Early in the morning, you will take a scenic mountain flight to Lukla, one of the most thrilling air routes in the world, offering spectacular views of the Himalayas. After landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, you will meet your trekking crew and begin your journey through the beautiful Dudh Koshi River valley.

The trail gradually descends through pine forests, small Sherpa settlements, prayer flags, and suspension bridges before reaching Phakding. This first day is relatively easy and is designed to help you adjust to the mountain environment. Overnight stay in a comfortable teahouse in Phakding.

After breakfast, the trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several high suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. You will enter Sagarmatha National Park at Monjo, where your permits are checked before continuing the climb.

The trail becomes steeper as you approach Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest. The final section is a challenging uphill ascent, but you are rewarded with your first distant views of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks on a clear day. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Today is an important acclimatization day to help your body adjust to higher altitude. After a relaxed breakfast, you can explore Namche Bazaar, a vibrant mountain town filled with bakeries, shops, cafes, and trekking stores.

An optional hike to the Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village offers stunning panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Thamserku. You may also visit the Sherpa Museum to learn about local culture and mountaineering history. Return to Namche for overnight stay.

The trail begins with a scenic walk along ridges offering breathtaking views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. You will descend to the Dudh Koshi River and then climb steadily through rhododendron and pine forests.

Tengboche is famous for its ancient monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region. If timing permits, you may attend the evening prayer ceremony, a peaceful and spiritual experience surrounded by Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay in Tengboche.

After visiting Tengboche Monastery, the trail descends through forests and crosses the Imja River before gradually ascending toward Pangboche village, one of the oldest Sherpa settlements in the region.

As you continue upward, vegetation becomes sparse and the landscape opens into wide alpine valleys with dramatic mountain views. Dingboche, known as the “Summer Valley,” is a beautiful high-altitude settlement surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Overnight stay in Dingboche.

Today is another essential acclimatization day to prepare for higher altitude ahead. After breakfast, you can take an optional hike to Nangkartshang Peak viewpoint, which offers incredible views of Makalu, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and surrounding glaciers.

This gradual climb helps your body adjust while rewarding you with one of the best panoramic viewpoints of the entire trek. The rest of the day is free for rest and relaxation in Dingboche. Overnight stay in a teahouse.

After breakfast, the trail gradually climbs above Dingboche with stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and surrounding peaks. The route becomes more rugged as you gain altitude, entering a more alpine landscape with fewer settlements.

You will pass through Dughla (Thukla), where trekkers stop for lunch and often visit the memorial area dedicated to climbers who lost their lives in Everest expeditions. From here, a steep uphill climb leads to the ridge before continuing gently to Lobuche. Overnight stay in Lobuche with dramatic mountain surroundings.

This is one of the most exciting days of the trek. After a short climb from Lobuche, you reach Gorakshep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. After a short rest, you continue along rocky moraine trails beside the Khumbu Glacier.

Gradually, you arrive at the legendary Everest Base Camp, surrounded by glaciers and towering peaks. Although Everest summit is not visible from Base Camp, the atmosphere and achievement make this moment unforgettable. After spending time and taking photos, you return to Gorakshep for overnight stay.

Early morning, you hike up to Kala Patthar, the highest point of the trek and the best viewpoint for Mount Everest. From here, you enjoy a breathtaking sunrise over Everest, Nuptse, and surrounding peaks.

After descending back to Gorakshep for breakfast, you begin your trek down to Pheriche. The trail is mostly downhill, passing through Lobuche and open valley landscapes. Pheriche offers a more comfortable altitude for rest and recovery. Overnight stay in Pheriche.

Today you descend significantly, making the walk easier and more enjoyable. The trail follows the same scenic route back through Pangboche and Tengboche, offering different perspectives of the mountains on the return journey.

After a steady descent and some uphill sections, you arrive back at Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa town. This is a great place to relax, enjoy bakeries, cafes, and celebrate completing the high-altitude section of the trek.

Today is the final trekking day of your journey. The trail descends through beautiful pine forests, suspension bridges, and river valleys along the Dudh Koshi River. Although the route is mostly downhill, it also includes some short uphill sections that can feel tiring after many days of trekking.

You will pass through familiar villages such as Monjo and Phakding before reaching Lukla, where your Everest journey officially comes to an end. This is a special moment to reflect on the adventure, the mountains, and the cultural experiences of the trek.

In the evening, you can celebrate the successful completion of your trek with your guide and trekking crew. It is a perfect time to share memories, express appreciation, and enjoy a farewell dinner or drinks together as a gesture of gratitude for their support throughout the Himalayas.

Early morning, you take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying final aerial views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our team will transfer you to your hotel or airport as per your arrangement.
