Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Mountain King Treks will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest after your journey or explore the nearby local area depending on your arrival time. In the evening, a short briefing will be conducted about the trek, preparation, and upcoming travel plans.

After breakfast, you will begin a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley, visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. These cultural landmarks offer deep insight into Nepal’s spiritual and historical heritage.

In the afternoon, you will return to the hotel for trek preparation, equipment checking, and final briefing with your trekking guide regarding the Arun Valley to Everest Base Camp route.

Early morning, you take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar, located in eastern Nepal. From here, your trekking journey begins with a drive to Kartiki Ghat. The route passes through beautiful hills, rivers, and rural settlements, offering the first glimpse of the remote Arun Valley region. Overnight stay is arranged in a local lodge at Kartiki Ghat.

Today’s trek follows the Arun River valley through lush forests and traditional villages. The trail is peaceful and less crowded, giving a true wilderness trekking experience in Nepal. You will pass suspension bridges, terraced farmlands, and small settlements before reaching Gothe Bazaar for overnight stay.

The trail gradually ascends as you enter more hilly terrain. You will walk through dense forests, small villages, and ridge paths with beautiful views of surrounding hills. The environment becomes cooler as you gain elevation, and Salpa Phedi offers a quiet resting point in the mountains.

Today’s journey takes you deeper into the Himalayan foothills. The trail climbs steadily through rhododendron and pine forests, with occasional viewpoints overlooking distant valleys. Guranse is a peaceful mountain settlement where you will stay overnight, surrounded by natural beauty and silence.

Today is one of the most scenic days of the trek as you cross Salpa Bhanjyang pass, offering panoramic views of the surrounding hills and Himalayan landscapes. After enjoying the pass, the trail descends gradually towards Sanam village. This region is culturally rich, with traditional houses and warm local hospitality, making it a memorable stop on your journey.

After breakfast, the trail gradually descends and then undulates through forested ridges and traditional hillside settlements. You will pass small farmlands and local villages, experiencing the authentic lifestyle of eastern Nepal’s mountain communities. The route offers peaceful walking with occasional views of distant valleys and green hills. Overnight stay is in the quiet village of Gudel.

Today’s trek begins with a steady climb through dense forest trails and remote terrain. As you ascend, the environment becomes more alpine with cooler air and wider mountain views. The trail leads to Kiraunle Gompa, a peaceful and culturally significant monastery area surrounded by natural silence and Himalayan wilderness. Overnight stay nearby the monastery area.

This is a challenging and rewarding trekking day as you cross the Surkie Pass, offering panoramic views of surrounding ridges and valleys. The trail includes both ascents and descents through remote highland terrain. After crossing the pass, you descend towards Najing Dingma, a secluded settlement surrounded by mountains and forested slopes.

Today’s trail moves through beautiful ridge lines and mixed forest areas. The route is peaceful and less traveled, allowing you to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the Arun Valley region. Gradually descending and ascending sections bring you to Pangom village, a traditional Himalayan settlement with warm local hospitality.

The trek continues through scenic forest trails and hillside paths, gradually connecting you closer to the main Everest region route. You will pass small villages and terraced fields along the way. Puiyan is a quiet mountain village that serves as an important transition point before entering the classic Everest trekking trail.

Today you officially join the main Everest trekking region trail. The path follows the Dudh Koshi River with suspension bridges, forest trails, and small Sherpa settlements. Phakding is a beautiful riverside village and a popular first overnight stop for trekkers entering the Khumbu region.

After breakfast, the trek continues along the river before a steady climb towards Namche Bazaar. You will cross famous suspension bridges and enter Sagarmatha National Park. The final ascent is steep but rewarding, bringing you to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital of the Everest region, surrounded by stunning Himalayan peaks.

Today is an important acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar to help your body adjust to higher altitude. After breakfast, you will hike to the Everest View Hotel or nearby viewpoints, offering stunning panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and surrounding peaks. You may also explore the Sherpa Museum, local markets, and bakeries in Namche. This rest day is essential for safe continuation of the trek.

The trail begins with a scenic descent and then follows the Dudh Koshi River with beautiful forest paths and suspension bridges. Gradually, you will climb uphill towards Tengboche. Upon arrival, you will visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important spiritual centers in the Everest region, surrounded by breathtaking Himalayan views.

Today’s trek takes you deeper into the Khumbu region. The trail passes through rhododendron forests, alpine landscapes, and small settlements like Pangboche. As you gain altitude, the vegetation becomes sparse and the mountains appear closer. Dingboche is a beautiful high-altitude village surrounded by wide valleys and towering peaks.

Another important acclimatization day to help your body adapt to high altitude conditions. You will hike to nearby viewpoints such as Nangkartshang Peak, which offers spectacular views of Makalu, Lhotse, Island Peak, and surrounding mountains. The rest of the day is spent relaxing and preparing for higher elevations ahead.

The trail climbs gradually through alpine terrain and glacial landscapes. You will pass Thukla Pass, where memorials of climbers are located, honoring those who lost their lives in Everest expeditions. The scenery becomes more rugged and dramatic as you approach Lobuche, a small settlement near the Khumbu Glacier.

Today’s trek is relatively short but takes you into a high-altitude glacier region. The trail follows rocky terrain alongside the Khumbu Glacier. Gorak Shep is the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. After arrival and rest, you may have time to prepare for the next day’s Everest Base Camp excursion.

This is the most anticipated day of your journey. Early morning, you trek from Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), walking through glacier terrain and dramatic ice formations. Standing at Everest Base Camp is a lifetime achievement surrounded by the world’s highest peaks. After spending time at base camp, you return to Gorak Shep for overnight stay.

Perfect — I’ll finish the final section (Day 22 to Day 26) carefully and include your Day 25 farewell dinner with cultural program, keeping everything consistent and correct.

Early in the morning, you hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m), one of the best viewpoints in the Everest region, offering breathtaking sunrise views over Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and surrounding peaks. After spending time at the viewpoint, you descend back to Gorak Shep and continue trekking down towards Pheriche. The trail gradually becomes easier as you descend into lower altitude.

Today’s journey continues downhill through familiar Himalayan landscapes. You pass through Pangboche, Tengboche, and several Sherpa villages along the way. The trail offers beautiful views and a more relaxed walking pace as you lose altitude. By evening, you reach Namche Bazaar, the vibrant heart of the Everest region.

This is the final trekking day in the Everest region. The trail descends alongside the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges, forests, and small villages. After a long but rewarding walk, you arrive in Lukla, where you celebrate the successful completion of your Himalayan trekking journey with your guide and team.

After breakfast, you take an early scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

In the evening, Mountain King Treks hosts a special farewell dinner with a traditional Nepali cultural program. This is a memorable celebration of your successful journey through the Arun Valley and Everest Base Camp, featuring local cuisine, cultural performances, and time to reflect on your Himalayan adventure.
