For this reason, we strongly recommend that every traveler obtains comprehensive travel insurance before arriving in Nepal.

This Travel Insurance Policy explains the insurance coverage we recommend for your journey, the types of activities that should be covered, and your responsibilities regarding travel insurance. By confirming a booking with Mountain King Treks & Expedition Pvt. Ltd., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this Travel Insurance Policy together with our Booking Policy, Payment Information, Terms & Conditions, and other applicable company policies.

All travelers are responsible for obtaining valid and comprehensive travel insurance before the start of their trip. We recommend carrying a copy of your insurance policy, policy number, and emergency contact information throughout your journey for verification and emergency purposes.

High-Altitude Coverage

Many trekking and climbing routes in Nepal reach elevations above 4,000 meters. It is your responsibility to ensure that your travel insurance specifically covers high-altitude trekking, peak climbing, or mountaineering activities up to the maximum altitude of your chosen itinerary.

Emergency Medical Expenses

Your insurance policy should include adequate coverage for medical consultations, hospitalization, medication, emergency treatment, and other healthcare expenses that may arise during your trip in Nepal.

Emergency Helicopter Evacuation

For trekking, climbing, and expeditions in remote mountain regions, we strongly recommend insurance that includes emergency helicopter rescue and evacuation. In many areas of the Himalayas, helicopter evacuation is the fastest and safest option during a medical emergency.

Trip Cancellation & Interruption

We recommend selecting a policy that covers unexpected travel disruptions, including trip cancellation, trip interruption, travel delays, missed flights, and other unforeseen circumstances that may affect your travel plans.

Personal Belongings

Your insurance should also provide protection for baggage, trekking equipment, travel documents, personal belongings, and other valuables carried during your journey.

Limitation of Liability

Mountain King Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. shall not be responsible for any medical expenses, rescue costs, evacuation charges, financial losses, trip interruptions, or other expenses resulting from inadequate, invalid, or insufficient travel insurance coverage.
