After breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Kathmandu to Machhakhola, the gateway to the Manaslu region. The journey follows the Prithvi Highway alongside the Trishuli River before continuing through Arughat and Soti Khola, passing beautiful countryside landscapes, terraced hillsides, rivers, waterfalls, and traditional mountain villages.

Upon arrival in Machhakhola, check in to your tea house and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this small riverside settlement. Take time to relax and prepare for the exciting trekking adventure that begins the following morning.

Driving: Approximately 165 km (8–9 Hours)

After breakfast, begin trekking along the Budhi Gandaki River through beautiful forests, cultivated farmland, and traditional mountain villages. Crossing several suspension bridges and passing Khorlabesi and the natural hot springs at Tatopani, the trail gradually climbs through narrow river valleys surrounded by impressive Himalayan scenery.

Continuing through Doban and Yaruphant, you arrive at Jagat, a charming stone-built village and the official entry point to the restricted Manaslu region. This traditional settlement offers a wonderful introduction to the culture and landscapes that define the Manaslu Circuit.
