Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be warmly received by our representative and begin a scenic drive towards Yuksom, the historic gateway to the Dzongri Trek. The journey takes you through beautiful foothills, river valleys, small towns, and lush tea gardens before entering the mountainous region of West Sikkim. As you ascend higher, the landscape becomes greener and more peaceful, offering the first glimpse of the Himalayan environment. On arrival at Yuksom, check into your hotel and rest. After breakfast, the trek begins with an entry into Kanchenjunga National Park. The trail follows the Rathong Chu River through dense forests of oak, chestnut, pine, and rhododendron. The gradual ascent makes this a comfortable trekking day, ideal for acclimatization.
