Refund & Cancellation Policy

Mountain King Treks aims to manage cancellations fairly while maintaining the operational commitments required to organize trekking and travel services in Nepal.

Advance Deposit

A non-refundable advance deposit of 25% of the total trip cost is required to confirm any booking. This payment is used to secure permits, guides, accommodations, transportation, and administrative arrangements.

Client Cancellation

If a client cancels a confirmed booking, the advance deposit will not be refunded as preparations and operational arrangements may already have been made on the client’s behalf.

Trip Postponement

Clients may transfer their deposit to a future trip date by providing written notice at least 14 days before the original departure date. Postponements are subject to availability and operational requirements.

Unavoidable Circumstances

If a trip cannot operate due to natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, political events, transportation disruptions, pandemics, or other circumstances beyond our control, we will offer an alternative departure date or travel credit whenever reasonably possible.

Company Cancellation

If Mountain King Treks cancels a trip for operational or safety reasons, clients will receive a refund of payments made, excluding non-recoverable expenses already incurred on their behalf.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within a reasonable timeframe and may be subject to applicable banking fees, transfer charges, or administrative costs.

Unused Services

No refunds will be provided for unused services, voluntary early departures, missed activities, missed flights, or itinerary changes requested by the client after the trip has commenced.

Force Majeure

Mountain King Treks shall not be liable for refunds or compensation resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, border closures, or other force majeure situations.

Policy Updates

Mountain King Treks reserves the right to update or modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice.
