Ganjala Pass

It is a 7-hour drive to Syabrubesi from Kathmandu valley. You can enjoy the
beautiful mountain views, the scattered settlements over the hills and terraced
fields. Before reaching Dhunche you shall have lunch at Trishuli Bazar.
Descending from Dhunche takes you to Syabrubesi. Stay overnight at Syabrubesi.

Before passing through a thick forest, you shall start your first day of trekking
walking alongside the Langtang Khola. Further crossing some rivers via
suspension bridges, you shall trek by a number of teahouses. Despite frequent ups
and downs, you shall not feel the trek so difficult today. Stay overnight at Lama
Hotel.

Before ascending uphill through the valley, you shall make through dense forests.
You shall arrive at the Langtang Village that suffered major damage when Nepal
was hit by a devastating earthquake in 2015. Leaving the valley, witnessing the
restored teahouses and lives, and the Langtang Lirung, you shall head off to
Mundu Village. Spend overnight at Mundu village.

Today your destination is one of the largest monasteries of Langtang region.
Passing through various prayer wheels, Chortens, water mills, Mani walls, carved
stones, you shall explore the beauty and sacredness of Kyangjin Gompa. This place
also boats the largest Mani wall of the country. Stay overnight at Kyangjin Gompa.

You shall be spending an extra day exploring the Gompa and ascending the Tserko
Ri. Tserko Ri offers the spectacular view of sunrise. After witnessing the sunrise
view from the Ri, you shall head back to Kyangjin Gompa. During your ascending,
you might feel the thin air, which is why an acclimatization and an elevation can
help you get used to with the high altitude. Stay another night at Kyangjin Gompa.

You shall ascend uphill through the beautiful forest full with rhododendrons. But
before that, you shall cross the Langtang Khola leaving the Gompa. This trail can
be covered with snow if you are trekking during the winter season. Otherwise, you
shall easily make to Ganja La Phedi within 5-6 hours from the Gompa. It is the
bottom of the Ganja La Pass which you shall ascend the following day. Stay
overnight at Ganja La Phedi.

This is the day our dream come true and also the day you shall find quite
challenging and tough. Being one of the difficult passes of the country, Ganga La
Pass is covered with snow almost throughout the year. You shall make through this
pass using boulders, and pass several lakes before making at the top of the pass.
Both ascent and descent over the icy trail can be quite challenging. You shall then
descend down to Keldang. Stay overnight at Keldang.

You might still be wondering about your experience from making through the
Ganja La Pass. You shall descend down from Keldang, via a ridge. You might be
amazed to know by the altitude you lose by the time you arrive at Yak Kharka.
Making through grasslands, forests, ridges, you arrive at Yak Kharka. Stay
overnight at Yak Kharka.

The trek of descending continues along with losing significant altitude. Passing
through more dense forests, grasslands you shall arrive at Tarke Gyang. You can
feel the air little different and plenty to inhale as you lose the altitude. You shall
continue your return journey for a couple of days more. Stay overnight at Tarke
Gyang.

Passing through a small forest, overlooking the spectacular beauty of the village,
you shall make a half-circular round of the valley, and arrive at a junction
connecting Parachin Village and Gangyul Village. At Gangyul, you might see a
different practice of Buddhism; it is called the Drukpa Kagyu Buddhism, one
which is the national religion in Bhutan. Stay overnight at Sermathang.

Descending down from the Sermathang, passing by several Sherpa villages, you
shall reach Melamchi Pul Bazar. Catching a bus from here, you shall drive back to
Kathmandu reversing your views that you had made while arriving here. Once you
reach to Kathmandu, you would love to take a generous rest and let your
exhaustion fade away slowly.

Visit some of the World Heritage Sites enlisted by UNESCO, such as the
Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, Basantapur Durbar Square,
etc. You might want to buy something for your departure journey. In the evening
we shall be sharing our trekking experience over Farewell Dinner. Stay your last
night at Kathmandu.

Be ready with your bags and luggage; our representative shall receive you from
your hotel and take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport within sufficient
time before your departure flight. We shall bid our goodbyes and farewell and part
