It’s a great moment to ask questions and clarify any last details before heading into the Annapurna region.

After the briefing, enjoy your first night in Nepal with some leisure time or dinner at one of Thamel’s rooftop restaurants overlooking the city’s skyline. Tomorrow, your cultural immersion in Kathmandu truly begins.

After an early breakfast in Pokhara, your journey begins with a scenic drive toward the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk. The 3-hour drive takes you along mountain roads and winding trails past rivers, terraced fields, and small hillside settlements. As you approach Ghandruk, the views open up to reveal the majestic Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks looming in the distance.

Upon arrival in Ghandruk (1,940m), you'll stretch your legs and begin your trek. The trail climbs gently uphill through lush forests and stone-paved steps. As you ascend, you’ll be surrounded by rhododendron and oak trees, especially vibrant in spring. Small streams and birdsong accompany your footsteps as you steadily gain elevation. Occasional clearings in the forest offer beautiful glimpses of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.

After 3 to 4 hours of enjoyable trekking through serene natural surroundings, you reach the peaceful settlement of Tadapani (2,630m), nestled in the forest. Here, you'll check in to a local teahouse and enjoy a warm meal. Tadapani is known for its striking sunset views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Today’s journey takes you deeper into the forested highlands of the Annapurna region as you trek from Tadapani to Dobato. After a hot breakfast, you set off along a pristine trail known for its biodiversity and tranquility. This section of the trek is a highlight for nature lovers—especially in spring, when the rhododendron forests burst into a riot of red, pink, and white blossoms.

The trail gradually ascends through thick woodlands alive with the sound of birds and the occasional rustle of Himalayan wildlife. Unlike busier routes, this peaceful section remains relatively untouched by mass tourism, offering a more intimate trekking experience. As you gain elevation, the trees thin out and the views widen—showcasing layers of misty hills and snowcapped peaks.

After about 4 to 5 hours of steady trekking, you arrive at Dobato, a small settlement perched on a ridge with stunning views in all directions. From here, you’ll already feel the presence of Mulde Hill above you, waiting to be conquered the following morning. Dobato offers basic but comfortable teahouses, warm meals, and an incredibly peaceful mountain atmosphere.

🌄 Highlights: Peaceful rhododendron forests, increasing elevation, panoramic ridge views from Dobato, anticipation of Mulde Hill sunrise

This is the most anticipated and awe-inspiring day of your trek. Before dawn, you’ll rise early—tea in hand and headlamp ready—for the short yet steep uphill hike to Mulde Hill Viewpoint (3,837m). The trail is quiet and peaceful in the early morning hours, and as you gain altitude, the cold mountain air and the anticipation of sunrise fuel your energy.

After about 45–60 minutes of ascent, you’ll reach the summit of Mulde Hill just as the first rays of sunlight begin to light the Himalayan skyline. And then—magic unfolds. A 360-degree panoramic view surrounds you, with Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Hiunchuli, Nilgiri, and even distant glimpses of Manaslu on a clear day. This viewpoint is often called the best kept secret of the Annapurna region, offering more expansive and less crowded views than nearby Poon Hill.

You’ll spend quiet, memorable moments taking in the golden light over white peaks, capturing photos, or simply absorbing the silence and grandeur of the mountains. After sunrise, return to Dobato for breakfast and begin your gradual descent toward Ghorepani.

The trail descends and undulates through beautiful moss-covered forests, bamboo groves, and open ridgelines with mountain views. You’ll pass shepherd huts and possibly encounter grazing yaks along the way. After about 6–7 hours of total trekking, you’ll reach Ghorepani (2,874m), a charming village surrounded by rhododendron forests.

Ghorepani is known for its vibrant trekking culture and stunning location just below Poon Hill. You'll settle into a cozy teahouse, enjoy a well-earned dinner, and rest up after a long and incredible day.

After breakfast with mountain views in Ghorepani, today you begin the final leg of your trek. The descent to Ulleri (2,050m) is both scenic and refreshing. The trail begins with gentle woodland paths that gradually give way to the famous stone steps of Ulleri, a long staircase winding through forests, farmlands, and scattered homes.

This section of the trek is rich in local culture—you’ll pass through Magar villages, interact with cheerful locals, and spot terraced fields filled with seasonal crops. The descent takes about 3 hours and is a gentle farewell to the hills you’ve grown close to over the past few days.

Upon reaching Ulleri, a waiting vehicle will take you on a scenic drive back to Pokhara (820m), which takes another 3 hours. As you descend into warmer lowlands, you’ll notice a shift from alpine freshness to subtropical breezes. Once in Pokhara, you’ll check into your lakeside hotel and have the rest of the day free to relax.

In the evening, you might enjoy a quiet walk along Phewa Lake, a coffee by the water, or a celebratory dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the lake and mountains beyond.
