Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal, you will be warmly greeted by a representative from Mountain King Treks at Tribhuvan International Airport. From there, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax and unwind after your international flight. You will be given some time to rest and adjust to the new environment.

In the evening, there will be a briefing session about the trek, including an overview of the itinerary, safety tips, and important trekking information. This is a great opportunity to meet your trekking guide and fellow travelers. You will also have the chance to ask any questions regarding the trek. The night is free for you to explore the bustling streets of Thamel or simply rest for the journey ahead.

Today, you will embark on a full day of sightseeing in Kathmandu. The city is rich in history, culture, and spirituality, with several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Your first stop will be the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. Perched on a hilltop, it offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley and is an important Buddhist site adorned with ancient stupas and shrines.

Next, you will visit the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world. This sacred site is an important pilgrimage destination for Buddhists and a place of peace and serenity. Here, you can witness the circular prayer wheels and the iconic eyes of Buddha painted on the stupa.

You will then head to Pashupatinath Temple, a revered Hindu temple located on the banks of the Bagmati River. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the holiest temples in Nepal. You will also have the opportunity to observe the rituals and ceremonies that take place along the river.

Today, your journey toward the Everest region begins. After breakfast at your hotel, you will board a private 4WD vehicle for a scenic drive to Salleri, the district headquarters of Solukhumbu. The drive will take approximately 8 to 10 hours, covering a distance of about 270 kilometers.

The route follows the Araniko Highway from Kathmandu, but instead of passing through Dolalghat, the road leads you from Dhulikhel toward Kavre Bhanjyang. From there, you'll continue to Bhakunde Bhesi and Khurkot, before heading to Ramechhap, a key town on the way to the Everest region. The road is winding and the terrain gradually becomes more rugged as you approach the higher altitudes.

Along the way, you'll be treated to spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, including glimpses of the Rolwaling Range. The drive is an adventure in itself, with scenic landscapes, rural villages, and lush forests. As you pass through several towns and small settlements, you'll experience the rural life of Nepal and witness the vibrant culture of the local communities.

Upon reaching Salleri, you'll check into your lodge for the night. Salleri is a small yet lively village, where you’ll begin to feel the change in altitude and the cool mountain air. It's a good place to rest and prepare for the trek ahead, while also acclimatizing to the higher altitude.

This route through Kavre Bhanjyang, Bhakunde Bhesi, and Ramechhap offers a more direct and scenic drive to Salleri, cutting down the travel time compared to older routes.

Today, the journey continues as you drive from Salleri to Tham Danda, a journey of approximately 6-7 hours. The drive will take you further into the mountains, and the road becomes even more rugged and remote as you approach the Solukhumbu region. Along the way, you will pass through small Sherpa villages, terraced fields, and isolated valleys.

The drive will take you through the town of Nunthala (2,300m) and Chhule (2,200m), offering glimpses of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and other majestic peaks in the region. The beautiful landscapes and the ever-changing scenery will make the journey unforgettable.

Upon arriving at Tham Danda, you will begin your trek toward Paiya (2,730m), a small Sherpa village. The trek from Tham Danda to Paiya is relatively short, only about 4 km and will take around 2-3 hours. This easy walk will allow your body to adjust to the altitude, and the views along the trail are stunning, with glimpses of surrounding peaks and valleys.

Once you arrive at Paiya, you will check into a local teahouse, rest, and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Paiya is a peaceful village, and it serves as a great stop to prepare for the more challenging days ahead.

Today marks the beginning of the trek in earnest as you leave Paiya and head towards Phakding, a small Sherpa village located along the Dudh Koshi River. You will be greeted by the refreshing sound of the Dudh Koshi river flowing alongside the trail.

The trek to Phakding is approximately 13 km and will take around 6-7 hours, with moderate ups and downs. The day is not overly strenuous, allowing you to ease into the trekking rhythm and focus on your acclimatization process. As you walk, you'll be treated to occasional views of Mount Thamserku (6,618m) and Kantega (6,779m), which rise majestically above the landscape.

Upon arrival in Phakding, you will settle into a local teahouse, where you can relax and enjoy some warm food. Phakding offers great views of the surrounding mountains and is a good place to rest after a day of trekking. The evening is free to explore the village or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Today’s trek is one of the most exciting and challenging of the journey, as you head towards Namche Bazaar, the bustling hub of the Everest region. The trail from Phakding to Namche Bazaar covers 11 km and takes about 6-7 hours to complete, with a steady ascent as you make your way higher into the Khumbu Valley.

As you continue your trek, the landscape becomes more dramatic. The path follows the Dudh Koshi River and crosses several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge. Along the way, you will pass through small villages such as Monjo (2,835m), which is the entrance to Everest National Park. Here, your trekking permits will be checked, and you will be officially entering the protected area.

The climb towards Namche Bazaar begins in earnest after Monjo, and the steep uphill trek offers spectacular views of the surrounding peaks, including Ama Dablam and Everest in the distance. The trail is a bit more demanding today, but the sense of accomplishment as you arrive at Namche Bazaar is unmatched. This vibrant market town is the largest settlement in the Khumbu region and offers excellent opportunities for shopping, culture, and exploration.

After enjoying the stunning views, you will return to Namche Bazaar for the afternoon. After a restful acclimatization day, you’ll continue your trek towards Tengboche, a beautiful monastery located at an elevation of 3,860m. The trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche is approximately 9 km and takes around 5-6 hours.

The trail initially descends into the valley before following the Dudh Koshi River. The path then ascends through lush forests of pine and rhododendron as you make your way up to Tengboche Monastery, one of the most important spiritual sites in the Khumbu region. As you approach the monastery, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, which seem to rise directly out of the surrounding landscape.

Upon arrival in Tengboche, you will visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, where you can observe Buddhist prayers and rituals if you arrive at the right time. The monastery is an important pilgrimage site for both locals and trekkers, offering peace and serenity in an awe-inspiring setting. You will spend the night at a local lodge, surrounded by some of the most stunning mountain views.

After an early breakfast in Tengboche, you will embark on a scenic trek towards Dingboche, a beautiful village nestled at an elevation of 4,410m. The trek today is about 11 km and will take 5-6 hours to complete.

The trail starts with a descent through rhododendron and pine forests before crossing the Imja Khola via a suspension bridge. From here, you’ll begin your ascent towards Dingboche, passing through small villages like Deboche. The landscape becomes more barren as you gain altitude, with majestic views of Ama Dablam to the left and Lhotse and Mount Nuptse in the distance.

As you approach Dingboche, the scenery becomes even more dramatic. The village itself is a small but picturesque Sherpa settlement, offering magnificent views of the surrounding peaks. Dingboche serves as a great acclimatization spot, as it sits in the heart of the Khumbu Valley. After arriving in Dingboche, you’ll check into a local teahouse, where you’ll have time to rest and relax.

Today is another important acclimatization day, and you will take a short but rewarding hike to Nagarjun Hill (also called Chukhung Ri). This hike is crucial to help your body adjust to the altitude and prepare for the higher elevations ahead.

The trek to Nagarjun Hill is a gradual ascent, and the round-trip hike will take around 3-4 hours. From the summit, you'll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge, Makalu, Ama Dablam, and the surrounding peaks. The view of the Imja Tse Glacier and the Chukhung Valley is truly mesmerizing.

After soaking in the views and enjoying the surrounding beauty, you will return to Dingboche in the afternoon. This extra hike not only helps with acclimatization but also offers an opportunity to enjoy some of the most picturesque landscapes in the Everest region. Spend the rest of the day resting, hydrating, and preparing for the next leg of the trek.

Today’s trek from Dingboche to Lobuche is about 8 km and will take approximately 5-6 hours. As you leave Dingboche, the landscape starts to get even more rugged and barren, with sweeping views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers.

The trail follows the valley, passing through the small settlements of Dughla and Pheriche, where trekkers often stop for a quick break. From Dughla, you will begin a steep ascent to the Dughla Pass (4,620m), where you’ll find several memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives in the mountains. This emotional spot is a reminder of the dangers of high-altitude climbing and trekking.

After this emotional stop, the trail continues toward Lobuche, a small settlement surrounded by towering peaks, including Pumori and Lobuche East. Upon arrival in Lobuche, you will settle into a teahouse and enjoy the crisp mountain air. The evening will be spent resting and preparing for the next challenging day to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp.

Today is the day you’ve been working towards—the trek to Everest Base Camp. After breakfast in Lobuche, you’ll set out for Gorak Shep (5,164m), which is the last settlement before Base Camp. The trek is about 4 km and will take 3-4 hours.

The trail to Gorak Shep is relatively flat, but the altitude makes it a bit more challenging. Along the way, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Mount Pumori, Nuptse, and other iconic peaks. As you approach Gorak Shep, the landscape becomes increasingly barren and rocky, typical of the higher altitudes. Upon arrival at Gorak Shep, you’ll have a short rest before continuing to Everest Base Camp.

The trek to Everest Base Camp from Gorak Shep is about 2-3 km and takes 2-3 hours. The final stretch is a rocky and glacial trail, and as you approach the Base Camp, you will see the Khumbu Icefall, the infamous and treacherous route that mountaineers take to ascend Everest. When you reach Everest Base Camp (5,364m), you will have a chance to take in the awe-inspiring views of the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest (8,848m), along with other giants like Lhotse and Nuptse.

After spending some time soaking in the achievement and the incredible surroundings, you will return to Gorak Shep for the night, where you will reflect on the day’s accomplishment and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

Today is a big day, as you'll wake up early to hike up to Kalapatthar (5,545m) for some of the most spectacular sunrise views of Mount Everest. The hike to Kalapatthar takes about 2-3 hours, with a steep climb through rocky terrain. As you ascend, you’ll pass through sparse vegetation and witness the towering peaks of Everest, Lhotse, and Pumori coming into view.

At the summit of Kalapatthar, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and the surrounding peaks as the first rays of sunlight illuminate the mountain range in golden hues. This is one of the best spots for a close-up view of Mount Everest, and you’ll have plenty of time to soak in the breathtaking scenery and capture some photos.

After spending some time at the summit, you will begin your descent back to Gorak Shep, where you’ll have breakfast. Then, the trek continues as you descend toward Pheriche (4,250m), a beautiful village nestled in the valley. The trail is mostly downhill, and you’ll pass through rocky terrain with sweeping views of the surrounding peaks. The trek to Pheriche will take about 3-4 hours, covering a distance of 13 km.

Pheriche is a quiet and serene place, perfect for resting after the early morning hike to Kalapatthar. Once in Pheriche, you will check into your teahouse, enjoy a hot meal, and relax for the evening.

After breakfast in Pheriche, the trek begins with a descent back down the valley towards Namche Bazaar. The total distance today is about 14 km, and the trek will take around 6-7 hours. The trail descends through a variety of landscapes, passing through rhododendron forests, small settlements, and lush valleys, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Along the way, you'll cross the Dudh Koshi River and pass through Phortse (a small village), with stunning views of Ama Dablam and Thamserku. As you approach Namche Bazaar, the landscape becomes greener and more vibrant, and you’ll be greeted by the bustling town of Namche.

Namche Bazaar (3,440m) is the largest town in the Khumbu region, serving as a hub for trekkers and climbers. It offers plenty of accommodation, shops, cafes, and even an internet café. Upon arrival, you’ll settle into your lodge and enjoy a warm meal. The afternoon can be spent relaxing and exploring the vibrant market area, where you can pick up souvenirs or snacks.

Today, the trek from Namche Bazaar to Chhuplung is about 10 km and will take approximately 5-6 hours. After breakfast, you will begin your descent through the familiar landscapes of the Khumbu region. The trail offers beautiful views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and the surrounding peaks as you make your way toward Chhuplung.

You’ll pass through the villages of Khunde and Khumjung, where you can stop to visit Monjo, a beautiful Sherpa village. The trail is relatively easy, with gradual descents and some uphill stretches, offering a pleasant walk through the alpine landscape.

Chhuplung is a small village situated along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. It is a peaceful location to rest for the night. After reaching Chhuplung, you will check into your lodge and enjoy the evening in this tranquil setting, surrounded by lush forest and magnificent mountain views.

After breakfast at your teahouse in Chhuplung, you’ll begin the final leg of the trek before heading back to Kathmandu. The trek from Chhuplung to Tham Danda is relatively short, covering about 4 kilometers. It takes approximately 2-3 hours to complete the trek, with some moderate ascents and descents along the way. As you walk through the trail, you’ll be surrounded by the natural beauty of the Khumbu region, with views of distant peaks and lush forests lining your path. Upon reaching Tham Danda, you'll board a private vehicle for the drive back to Salleri.

The drive to Salleri will take about 3-4 hours, passing through winding mountain roads, with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Along the way, you’ll pass through small Sherpa villages, providing a final glimpse into the rural life of the region. Upon arrival in Salleri, you’ll rest and prepare for your journey back to Kathmandu the next day.

Overnight: Stay at a comfortable lodge in Salleri.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on the long journey back to Kathmandu. The drive from Salleri to Kathmandu takes approximately 8-10 hours, depending on road conditions. You’ll pass through the picturesque landscapes of the Solu region, navigating through winding roads and passing through scenic valleys. The drive can be tiring, but it offers a chance to relax and reflect on the incredible journey you’ve completed in the Everest region.

Along the way, you’ll stop for rest breaks and lunch at a local spot, soaking in the views of the Himalayan foothills. As you make your way closer to Kathmandu, the landscape gradually changes, and the bustling city starts to come into view. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll check into your hotel and enjoy some leisure time to rest and freshen up after the long drive.

In the evening, a farewell dinner will be arranged at a traditional Nepali restaurant, where you can enjoy local delicacies and cultural performances. This will be a memorable evening to celebrate your successful trek, share stories with fellow trekkers, and express gratitude to your guides and porters.

Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

This is the final day of your adventure in Nepal. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you’ll have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing if you wish. Your guide will assist with any necessary arrangements and accompany you to the airport for your departure. Whether you’re heading back home or to another destination, you’ll leave Nepal with incredible memories of your journey to Everest Base Camp and the beautiful Himalayan landscapes.
