2. Stay Hydrated:
   Drinking plenty of water is crucial at high altitudes to prevent dehydration. Along with water, we will provide tea, coffee, soup, and especially garlic soup, which is known to help with blood circulation and prevent altitude sickness.
3. No Alcohol or Cigarettes:
   We strongly recommend avoiding alcohol and cigarettes once you are above 3000 meters, as these can worsen the effects of altitude sickness.
4. Acclimatization:
   As recommended by medical professionals, you should not gain more than 500 meters of elevation per day to minimize the risk of AMS. Some days, due to necessary high passes, we will need to go higher and descend a little, which helps your body adjust more effectively. This process is known as “climb high, sleep low” and is crucial for successful acclimatization.
5. The Use of Diamox (Acetazolamide):
   For emergency use, we carry Diamox (250mg daily) as a preventative measure for altitude sickness. However, it is not recommended to start using Diamox right away.
